Does KITA Academy accept government grants?
Yes. Our Grande Prairie centre is a licensed program in Alberta’s Affordability Grant and the federal–provincial $15-a-day child care program (CWELCC). The grant is applied right at the centre — you don’t pay it back.
How much does daycare cost with the Affordability Grant?
Families pay a flat $326.25 per month for full-time care (or $230 part-time), for every age group from infants to school-age. That fee is set to drop further as Alberta moves toward $10-a-day care.
Do I need to apply for a child care subsidy?
No. Alberta’s old income-tested child care subsidy ended for children up to kindergarten age in 2025. Today the Affordability Grant is applied automatically through our licensed centre — there’s nothing for you to file.
